About Founder

My name is Dr Thomas Lattimore and I am a Teacher from Oxford, UK. I have created Gaza is Human to showcase the humanity of real Palestinians living in Gaza, by showing you them doing normal everyday activities, showing them being human, just like you and me.

I have been critical of both sides of the conflict in Gaza; I strongly believe that it can only be resolved and justice can only be served by the full application of International Law to all of those who have done wrong, both Israel and Hamas.

Nonetheless, it's critical to recognise that the wrongs done by Israel (a genocide of what will be 100,000's of Palestinians once all deaths from it have occurred and have been counted) is orders of magnitude worse than what was done to them on October 7, that even Israel engaged in terrorist activity, killing most of the 784 British Soldiers and Civilians killed between 1945-48 in British Mandatory Palestine, to force Britain to leave, following the Second World War, and moreover, that all native people, which the Palestinians are, have always fought back against Settlers colonising their land, for example, when Native Indians killed over 500 European White Settlers in the Dakota "War" of 1862 in the land today known as the US State of Minnesota, USA.

Additionally, while it is critical to recognise that Palestinians have a right to resist the gravely illegal and immoral Apartheid and Occupation that they are being subjected to, Israeli civilians should not be the target of such resistance; every killing of innocent Israeli civilians must be condemned, just as every killing of innocent Palestinian civilians by Israel has to be.

Furthermore, I am an activist, campaigning for the full Right of Return for the 700,000+ Palestinians who were ethnically cleansed and/or their descendants from modern day Israel, mostly in the 1948 Nakba, in full accordance with UN Resolution 194, an end to Israeli Apartheid, which includes an end to their illegal occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and for the resulting inhabitants of the land currently known as Israel and the Palestinian Territories to vote in a referendum on whether they would like to live in a single State or whether they would like to partition and have 2 States, the outcome of such vote ultimately being highly dependent on how many Palestinians exercise their Right of Return, which is a necessary prerequisite for a decision to be made about any potential partition. Check out some of my activism content below and follow me on Social Media (click link).

I am also a singer-songwriter in my spare time performing under the stage name: Tom Lamore. Passionate and reflective, my songs tackle the divisive issue of the Gaza Genocide. I have a unique voice unlike no other that goes against the norms followed by modern day artists, which reflects the hard-hitting nature of my politically motivated songs.

Moreover, while the vast majority of artists have remained silent about the Gaza Genocide, I have not stood idly by, choosing to be on the right side of history rather than be concerned about any monetary losses.

Key Campaign Demands

My Key Campaign Demands to help bring Peace and Justice for
all people living in Israel and the Palestinian Territories

1. Full Right of Return for the 700,000+ Palestinians who were ethnically cleansed and/or their descendants from modern day Israel, mostly in the 1948 Nakba, in full accordance with UN Resolution 194.

Palestinians homes were confiscated as part of the 1948 Nakba, part of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, without any compensation; something fundamentally at odds with Internationally recognised Laws and norms regarding ownership. Even Jewish people who had their homes confiscated by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust have been able to obtain that property back, as recently as 2025, so Palestinians should be able to obtain their property back too from which they were illegally expelled more recently.

Furthermore, Israel allows Jews from the world over to immediately "return" to Israel and obtain almost immediate Citizenship, despite their families not having lived in the land today known as Israel for almost 2,000 years, or longer, if at all (some Jews converted to Judaism after the Jewish people were expelled from the land which is now modern day Israel).

If this was to happen in full (including all Palestinian people Worldwide wishing to return back to their ancestral homeland), the children and grandchildren of those expelled, now number millions, so Jewish people's right to self-determination would have to be balanced with the Palestinians right to self-determination, resulting in an Israel where power is shared between Israelis and Palestinians, similar to how power is shared between the Republicans (i.e. Sinn Fein) and the Loyalists (DUP & others) in Northern Ireland.

However, in practice, some Palestinians may accept a financial settlement rather than live in Israel, so it's still possible that Israel could remain a Jewish majority country, while having settled a major injustice that threatens its security to this very day. This is ultimately a risk they would have to take because the alternative (i.e. a genocide, which the United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have recognised), threatens Israel's long-term security much more, as well as being an obvious abomination and betrayal of the victims of the holocaust, one of the reasons many give for it existing in the first place.

2. Complete End to the Illegal Israeli Occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem

This was recognised in July 2024 by the International Court of Justice as an illegal occupation, and it includes Gaza because Israel has still retained overall control of Gaza through controlling its air within the territory, as well as its sea and land borders, despite its unilateral withdrawal from Settlements in Gaza in 2005.

In line with the UN General Assembly who voted 124 in favour, 14 against, with 43 abstentions, in September 2024, Countries Worldwide should sanction Israel if such a process has not been conducted within 1 year of the UN Resolution; i.e. by September 2025. Such sanctions should continue until Israel abides by the resolution in full. These sanctions should encompass all fields, including economic and arms aid/sales.

3. Referendum on 1 State or 2 State Solution

With all of the Palestinian refugees given their Right of Return, and the illegal Israeli Occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem ended, I believe a Referendum should then take place, with all Israeli's and Palestinians given a Vote on whether to adopt a 1 State or a 2 State Solution, and what the borders of the 2 States would be, if that Solution was adopted, giving all people living in the currently Internationally recognised borders of Israel and the Palestinian Territories the Right to Self-Determination.

I strongly believe that the argument over whether a 1 State or 2 State Solution is the best way forward is a red herring, in that it cannot justly be resolved until the preceding 2 issues, the Right of Return & the End to the Occupation, are resolved. Namely, what if many Palestinians preferred to live in the (what would now be fully liberated) West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, and take a financial settlement, rather than exercise their Right to Return to their ancestral home? In such a case, a 2 State Solution, with a fully Sovereign fully independent Palestinian State would arguably be more preferable to them, while if they did decide to exercise their Right to Return, a 1 State Solution would be more preferable. Such a question must surely wait, and it must surely be answered by Israeli and Palestinian Voters, rather than be built up as an issue which must be resolved before anything else, by external powers, who rather, should use all necessary means (i.e. Sanctions, pausing arms aid/sales) to ensure Israel accepts the above.

Between 1945-48, 784 British men, women, soldiers and civilians, who were trying to bring peace to British Mandatory Palestine (the area which today is comprised of modern day Israel, the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza), were killed. The vast majority of them were killed by Jewish Terrorist groups (Irgun, Lehi [Stern Gang], Haganah) whose leaders went on to found Israel in 1948. They did this to force the British to leave.

During this time, these same groups killed several thousand Palestinians.

Since then, Israel has continued to kill native Palestinians in their 10,000's to force them to leave, just like they forced the British to leave.

Introduction: A message from the Creator, Dr. Thomas Lattimore

I have created the following videos to help you to answer the question: Is the Israel-Gaza "War" a War or Genocide? This is something which the United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have all independently concluded was a genocide.

Should it be the latter, I very much encourage you to take appropriate peaceful actions to pressurise your Government to take action (peaceful protest, talking to others about what's happening, activism) to help ensure it is never allowed to happen again, namely, ending the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank & East Jerusalem, ending the Israeli Apartheid within Israel itself treating Israeli Palestinians as second-class citizens, and recognising a Palestinian State (according to 1967 borders).
